Get to know our team:
We work globally with other labs and academics alongside specialists in research and analysis. From small domestic and exotic pets to working large animals, we help the professionals closest to them to identify and diagnose acute illnesses or long term conditions.
With our advanced training in clinical pathology and especially cytopathology, we aim to provide the highest standard of diagnostic results across the board. Cytopathology reports are specific for each case, including detailed descriptions and defined interpretations. Targeted testing is then advised in reaching a definitive diagnosis to help vets treat their patients appropriately.
Typical response times with results and commentary are the same day on most tests, although culture and sensitivity testing usually takes up to three days. We know though that speed is often important, not least because animal owners are often concerned. The quality of information we're given by vets really helps us provide the most help.
The collaboration with vets and animal specialists goes beyond simply providing them with the numbers on the results they need. We pride ourselves on furthering the work they do and we help provide an individualistic targeted outcome for patients.
Working closely together as a team brings benefits for our customers. We provide the best service to help customers and their patients, making informed judgements based on test results. Clients get to know us individually, but they also know they can speak to someone else on the team if they have queries.
Like all of us, I have a background in pathology and a passion for animals. Helping vets get the correct diagnosis to then provide the necessary treatment drives us every day to work as a team, performing the right tests in the best time possible.
We work hard as a team to provide a fast and efficient service to our customers. We pride ourselves on our high quality results as well as one to one, personal communication with our customers. We are always happy to help with any and all questions or queries.
Practices often ring first to discuss and arrange sample testing or collection. We keep track of every individual sample and the animal concerned. We're definitely a team working to stay on top of deadlines. Training is important to us all, so we can share tasks and work effectively.
We make smears from all blood samples, stain appropriately and use individual examination with automated analysis to provide an accurate result, depending on the specific test required.
Practices can ring or text us to book sample pick ups, which we confirm to ensure they are delivered ovenight to the lab for testing next day. In this way, we get to know each practice on our route.
All our samples are sorted appropriately when we pick up, so blood samples stay refridgerated to ensure their quality remains high. Urgent samples are separated out so they can be prioritised and we know then our sample delivery is the best it can be.
